Weekly Photo Challenge

Weekly Photo Challenge : Narrow and Steep Stairs

This picture was taken from the west side of Phimeneakas (Vimeneakas) at Angkor Archeological Area.

The one and only stair to go up and down is located at this side, although there are four wide stone steps at each side of this temple. But these original staircases have been eroded by time and the new wooden small stairs has been made on the west side to preserve the stone from severe erosion and also to help us climbing to the top.

This wooden stair is very Narrow and steep and only can be passed by one person. So you have to wait before you go up or down stairs, and don’t try to pass someone in front of you.

Well, a journey to the eternal happiness is not easy. It’s like to climb this narrow and steep stairs. But at the end of the journey, you will find the priceless experience.

  1. Such a thoughtful shot and interpretation for this week’s challenge. Very thoughtful to have a set of stairs built so others can still enjoy this historical site. The view from the top must be amazing. Agree with you that there is no need to rush and overtake the other person in from of us. Step by step, little by little, we will all arrive at the same place, same destination 🙂
