There is a small, steep, humid, and dark stairway to the upper terace of this temple. I didn’t mind the things around me, until Sunha, the guide, asked me to stop and to look at the right side of the temple’s wall to take a picture.
At first I didn’t notice this small brick opening. But.. wow… this opening creates a unique Frame to the temples outside. It’s like the only light source that illuminate the dark stairway.
This is Thagya Hit Temple in Bagan, registered as temple no. 349. I hope this temple is still standing intact after the earthquake on August 24, 2016.
Please pray for Bagan and Myanmar.
