This picture is taken at the Museum of Memorial Stone Park, or we call it Museum Taman Prasasti.
This museum was formerly a Dutch cemetery, built by Dutch colonial government in 1795. But in 1975 it was closed for the construction of Central Jakarta mayorly office. Many tombstones were removed and damaged, the cemetery size were reduced to 20% from the original size.
On July 9, 1977, finally this cemetery was transformed as a museum and until now it’s still conserve the memories from the past time.
Tomorrow, Catholic Church will celebrate the “All Souls Day”. I think the idea of Transmogrify is closely related with this commemoration. As written by Herman Hesse :
