Weekly Photo Challenge : Two Countries on A Single Bridge

This is the first Thai-Lao friendship Bridge over The Mekong River, connecting Nong Khai Province in Thailand and Vientiane Prefecture in Lao.

Its length is 1170 metres and it has two road lanes, two foot paths, and a single railway (with daily train schedule from Thanaleng to Nong Khai, vice versa).

At some point in the middle of the bridge you will find two different flags standing side by side. Yes.. this point is actually a real border of the two countries.

So.. this bridge is one of the most unique country borders in the world.
